Therapy for Young Adults and Millennials
Specialities/Areas of Focus
Young Adults & Millennials
I’ve chosen to focus on working with individuals in their 20s, 30s, and 40s because I find a natural connection with people in this stage of life. These years often bring significant transitions, self-exploration, and the search for direction—all of which I’m passionate about supporting.
I provide an empathetic, nonjudgmental space where clients can engage openly in the therapeutic process. My conversational and collaborative approach helps create a sense of ease and trust, making room for meaningful growth and self-discovery.
ADHD
I offer neurodivergent-affirming therapy with a specialization in working with individuals with ADHD. My approach emphasizes self-acceptance, understanding the influence of core beliefs, and exploring how cultural expectations can shape your experience.
Together, we’ll work on developing strategies that align with how your brain naturally functions—helping you move away from self-judgment and toward greater confidence and self-trust. My goal is to support you in building a life that honors your strengths and supports your growth.
LGBTQAI+
I provide identity-affirming therapy for individuals within the LGBTQIA+ community, grounded in both my academic background—including a Minor in Gender Studies from SUNY New Paltz—and my ongoing commitment to learning and advocacy.
My approach is rooted in respect, inclusivity, and a deep understanding of the complexities and challenges that queer individuals may face. I strive to create a space where all identities are honored and where you can explore your experiences without fear of judgment or misunderstanding.
Self Image & Body Image
I support clients in developing a healthier relationship with themselves by using an intersectional and strengths-based approach. We’ll explore how aspects of your identity, cultural background, family, and relationships have shaped your self-image and body image.
My work includes both body neutrality—separating self-worth from appearance—and body positivity, which encourages acceptance and appreciation of your body as it is today. Together, we’ll focus on building self-understanding, compassion, and confidence.

Kelsey Donohue,
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
When I began studying Psychology in college, I discovered a deep passion for understanding the human experience and supporting others through life’s challenges. From that moment on, I knew this was the path I wanted to pursue.
I earned my BA in Psychology with a Minor in Gender Studies from SUNY New Paltz in 2014 and went on to complete my Master of Social Work at Adelphi University in 2017. That same year, I began my career as a therapist.
Since then, I’ve been dedicated to expanding my knowledge and deepening my skills to better support my clients in living meaningful, authentic lives. In 2023, I took an exciting step forward by opening my own private practice, where I continue to help individuals find the path that feels right for them.
