FAQ’s

Ready to get started?

I am available Tuesday through Friday, my earliest session is at 10:00AM and my latest appointment is for 5:00PM. If you are planning to use insurance for therapy, it is also a good idea to check in with your insurance company and make sure you know what your benefits are and check to see if I am an ‘in network’ provider for you. Use the link below to schedule your free 15 minute consultation.

Cancellation policy

I require at least 24 hours notice prior to an appointment for an appointment to not be considered a late cancellation.

What if I have an emergency?

Outpatient mental health therapy is not meant to be used for emergency situations. Therapy tends to be scheduled once a week for 60 minutes at most, and is not an appropriate way to manage a mental health emergency.

If you are having an emergency, please call 911 or go to the ER for assistance. You can also call or text the suicide hotline at 988, if you are seeking support outside of your session.

I need an appointment ASAP

Current clients only: If you booked your appointment for 2 weeks out, and then the next day something happens that you need to talk about earlier, I completely understand and will accomodate as much as I am able. The best way to see if you can get an earlier appointment is to text me for availability.

Can You Write An ESA letter?

I do not write ESA letters. Often you can ask your Primary Care doctor or your Psychiatrist to write it and they will do so. I would be happy to contact them to verify you are in therapy, if needed.

Can My Family/Partner/Other Come into My Session?

The answer will be specific to the individual and their circumstance. However, for clients who are just starting therapy, it is not something that would be considered until at least 3 to 6 months into the therapy process.
