Individual Therapy:
How does it work?
Therapy is your time. To make the most of it, consider keeping a journal throughout the week to jot down thoughts, questions, or experiences you want to explore during our sessions. This helps ensure we focus on what matters most to you.
Length of sessions
Therapy sessions range from 50 to 60 mins.
What Can I Talk About?
Therapy is a safe, non-judgmental space where you can be completely yourself. There are no “off-limits” topics or feelings too difficult to bring up. Whether you’re facing stress, anxiety, relationship challenges, self-doubt, identity questions, or anything else on your mind, this is a place to share openly. Together, we’ll explore whatever is important to you, no matter how big or small, so you can feel heard, understood, and supported.
How Confidential Is Therapy?
Confidentiality is a cornerstone of therapy. What you share in sessions stays between us, creating a safe space where you can speak openly without fear of judgment or exposure. There are a few important legal exceptions—such as situations involving harm to yourself or others, abuse, or court orders—where I am required to share information to keep you or others safe. Aside from these, your privacy is respected and protected at all times.
Getting Started
Why should I book a Consultation?
A consultation is a 15-minute video appointment where we’ll talk about what’s brought you to therapy and the kind of support you’re looking for. It’s also a chance for you to ask any questions you have about the process. At the end, you’ll have the option to book your first full session if you feel we’re a good fit.
This quick meeting lets you get a feel for how we work together before committing to a full appointment. Please note: consultations are always held virtually and are not available in person.
Do you take insurance?
Yes, I accept the following insurance plans: Aetna, Anthem, BCBS, CDPHP, MVP, and UHC.
Please note, I do not accept Medicaid or Medicare.
If you’re unsure whether your specific plan is covered, I recommend contacting your insurance company to ask if I’m listed as an “in-network” provider. You can also check your “Outpatient Behavioral Health” benefits to understand what your session costs might be.
Virtual or In Person
Virtual Sessions
Virtual sessions take place over video through a secure link that you’ll receive after scheduling your first appointment. They offer greater flexibility with location and timing, but do require a reliable internet connection and a private, quiet space.
In-Person Sessions
In-person sessions are available at my office located at 1 Barney Rd., STE 223, Clifton Park, NY 12065. Please note, the office is on the second floor and accessible only by stairs.
Cancellation Policy
I require at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel an appointment without a fee. Cancellations made on the same day will incur a $100 charge.
