FAQ’s

Cancellation policy

I require 24 hours notice to avoid a late cancellation fee.

What if I have an emergency?

Outpatient mental health therapy is not meant to be used for emergency situations. Therapy tends to be scheduled once a week for 60 minutes at most, and is not an appropriate way to manage a mental health emergency.

If you are having an emergency, please call 911 or go to the ER for assistance. You can also call or text the suicide hotline at 988, if you are seeking support outside of your session.

I need an appointment ASAP

Current clients only: If your next appointment suddenly feels too far away, I completely understand and will accomodate an earlier appointment if possible. The best way to see if you can get an earlier appointment is to message me via your client portal.

Can You Write An ESA letter?

I do not write ESA letters. Often you can ask your Primary Care doctor or your Psychiatrist to write it and they will do so. I would be happy to contact them to verify you are in therapy, if needed.

Can My Family/Partner/Other Come into My Session?

The answer will be specific to the individual and their circumstance. However, for clients who are just starting therapy, it is not something that would be considered until at least 3 to 6 months into the therapy process.
